Satisfied customers are your most valuable asset, if you have satisfied customers ask them if they know at least one other person who could use your product or service. A satisfied customer is guarantee to tell you if they do know anyone else, and you will have at least one good lead to follow up.

Marketing and Sales are the driver that keeps a business profitable and they go hand in hand, if you stop marketing your business you will come to a time when you will impact your ability to attract new business. Many businesses think that any type of marketing, executed in any way will benefit their business. While a business may be lucky in this approach it is one of the most costly ways to conduct your marketing strategy.

Marketing is based on the Acquisition and Retention of Customer:

  • To acquire customers means that you have to have a product or service they want or quite simply stimulate demand for your service or products.
  • To get customers to buy means you have to fulfil a need or solve a problem or problems for them.
  • To fullfill a need might be to save them money or quite simply make them feel good. A good example is impulse buying of food or shoes that look great and are priced at a 40% discount off the normal price.
  • The impulse buying is based on how a customer feels the other is based on getting what they want for a bargain! Fulfilling a need vs solving a price problem.
  • The above examples are extremely simplistic because when you start to sell services based on long sales cycles the approach and strategy must change.

So what I saying is to start with - your marketing & sales strategy has to address what you selling and how to stimulate demand for it!
