We are all shy about blowing our own trumpets but lets be honest if you don't who will? Just to demonstrate to you how bad not shouting about your business can be I was working recently with a client who has an impeccable product and when he is in full stride delivering the product which happens to be unbelievable food..well.. its a real treat. He and his partner are lovely people who love food and great service but their greatest problem now is the inability to understand that without regular clientele they have no business. So what should we do..? I can provide all the help that I can give and even attempt to build referrals but without them being proactive nothing will save them.So if you have a client who has similar problems what would you do? My first suggestion is to identify what they are good at and whatever else they are not good at sub contract it out to somebody else.Simple.Do not try and be all things to all people because this strategy will fail.Instead play to your strenghts and cooperate with those who will help you to be successful. Do not expect that any of these strategies come free they dont but ensure that first and foremost you get real value and insist on shopping around for people and pricing making sure to consult as wide and as far as is humanly possible.
